Houston summers are HOT, and humid.  So HPW tries to find stuff to keep the creative photography juices flowing even if it’s too hot to spend a lot of time shooting.  Of of the ways we keep you busy is with photography challenges, such as Fix Joe’s Busted Images.

Every year for the past several years, we give members a chance to practice their image editing chops by fixing some of Joe’s “Busted” images.  These are images that are poorly cropped, out of focus, off-color, or just plain boring.

The challenge is to take these boring images and find a way to make them interesting.  And then we all check out how each member chose to turn Joe’s garbage into works of art!  

We always get some really awesome results, and its fun to see how each member re-interpreted Joe’s busted photos.
