On January 25, George Ranch Historical Park will have an unforgettable look into WWII! See three different camp settlements from American, German and Russian troops as they demonstrate what soldier life was like during the war. Also, be sure to stop by the Linke House to see a WWII Command Post, including field phones, bridge security, parachute load out and more!

NOTE: The time listed is the opening hours for the Ranch, not our meeting time. HoustonPhotowalks will first meet for breakfast and then walk the ranch exhibits at each person’s own pace. Come-and-go as your schedule permits (we will not be able to group-up inside the ranch).

This is a *great* opportunity for photographers who want to practice film photography skills!

Schedule of Events:
7:52 a.m. — HoustonPhotowalks breakfast at Rudy’s Country Store and BBQ
11 a.m. — American Weapons Demonstration
Noon — Russian Weapons Demonstration
2 p.m. — Battle

General Admission:
$15 – Adults (ages 13-64)
$12 – Seniors (ages 65+)
$10 – Children (ages 4-12)
Children ages 3 and under are free.

Food Options
The TNT Dogs food truck will be set up near the camp settlements offering a variety of lunch options.

The George Ranch Historical Park is located just 30 miles southwest of downtown Houston. Take US 59 South; Exit Grand Parkway/ Hwy 99. Turn left (south) at the traffic light on Crabb River Road (FM 2759). The Park’s main entrance is located 6 miles down the road on the right.
