Lake Houston Wilderness Park is a beautiful, lushly forested expanse of nearly 5,000 acres, located three miles east of New Caney (approximately 30 miles north of Houston) off Hwy-59.

This is a first for Houston Photowalks. Our walk will take us to Peach Creek and back. Wildlife includes deer, squirrels, butterflies, frogs and….umm….bugs.

Hiking boots and long lightweight pants are recmmended.

HoustonPhotowalks is a rain-or-shine group. We won’t cancel unless the mayor says to evacuate the city. Photography in the rain can be amazing, so join us even if the weather looks sketchy!
