PHOTOWALK GLENWOOD CEMETERY
It’s been a while since we visited the Glenwood Cemetery and it was one of our most popular events. Time for another trip!

Glenwood Cemetery is located at 2525 Washington Ave. on the northern bank of Buffalo Bayou. Parts of the property afford views of the downtown Houston skyline, of Memorial Drive, and of Allen Parkway.

ENTRANCE INFORMATION
The entrance to Glenwood Cemetery is on the south side of Washington Avenue between Studemont and Sawyer Street. Due to construction you will need to enter the property from Sawyer St. Signs will be posted. Check out the map below.

MEET UP AND PARKING
Once inside let’s meet by the office for a quick get together and go over some basic information for our time on the property. Please park near the office. Do not block streets and access to burial sites.

NOTE
If your questioned by security please let them know you are here with the HOUSTON PHOTOWALKS GROUP with the approval from Carmen in the office. I will be there early enough to talk to them to let them know.

RESTROOMS
There are no public restrooms on the property.

WHAT TO BRING
For wide shots of downtown, bring your wide angle lens. For shots around the cemetery bring your walking zoom lens, tripods are allowed. There is very little covered area, so if there appears to be any rain in the forecast, bring your all-weather gear. This includes a cover for your camera gear and towel(s) for your person.
