A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away….

Before COVID, Houston Photowalks would regularly have lunches/classes during the summer at Becks Prime in The Heights. Unfortunately….this location was closed last September.

We recently found out that Becks Prime in Memorial Park has a meeting room and wide screen that can be utilized for presentations.

So – please join us for our first lunch at this location. It’s the chance to see each other live and in color, enjoy some good food, and the opportunity to discuss all things digital. photography.

Please note – Becks Prime doesn’t charge for the use of the meeting room. The “room rent’ is paid for by you ordering food from them

Why are we charging $2 per person? I’m glad you asked. It helps keep people honest and to show up. Plus – it took a bit of finagling and effort to set this. up.

Charles Putnam

Originally from Southern California, my interest in photography first started with a Minolta SRT-101 (back then, we used this stuff called "film").I quickly realized that photography was something he really enjoyed.

I began to expand my understanding of the photographic process during my college days at Pierce College.

With the move to digital photography, the challenge is to keep up to date with the latest tools, techniques and software.

My day job is Manager, Corporate Risk and Insurance at Methodist Hospital where I've been since June of 2007.
