Virtual LIVE Class/Event: Photoshop Basics for Lightroom Users
March 28 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
Because of the updated restrictions for eating at a restaurant (i.e. no dine in), we are changing this class to a virtual, live class/webinar.
We will provide/update the details on how this will be handled (most likely utilizing Zoom).
This will be a ‘first’ for Houston Photowalks.
ABOUT THIS CLASS
The ease of editing images in Lightroom often makes the need to use Photoshop [almost] unnecessary.
But….sometimes – in order to get the image you originally saw in your mind (aka visualization), or when you see stuff in the actual image that you, or….you just wanna “MacGyver” an image, it’s time to jump to Photoshop.
We’ll focus on the basic and essential things you need to know to start using Photoshop with Lightroom. Things we’ll cover include:
~ Lightroom Preference settings
~ Going from Lightroom to Photoshop, and back again
~ Smart Objects
~ Removing destractions
WHAT TO HAVE
To get the most out of this class, you’ll want to have:
~ Pen and paper for notes
~ Your laptop running the latest version of Adobe Photoshop CC 2020
~ Practice images to work on
Reminder – this is a peer-led class. I’ve been using Photoshop since version 7 (going back to 2000) – before Adobe Camera RAW was introduced.
Photoshop is professional level image editing and creation software. We will only be scratching the surface of what Photoshop can do. We could spend a week teaching on Photoshop and never touch on all of it’s capabilities.
