Beat the heat!

Come join us for breakfast at the air conditioned Bluestone Lane in The Heights, and learn the basics of using a flash with your camera.

This class will cover the basics of using your flash – both on camera, and off camera. The first part of the class will be all of the “techie stuff”. We’ll help take the mystery out of using a flash (fka ‘speedlight’), how to avoid getting the “Studio 54” look, and achieving pleasing light with your flash.

The first half of the class is the techie stuff you just have to know. The second half will be demonstration of on and off camera flash techniques.

The class is limited to 20 people due the size of the room.

Bluestone Lane is where Becks Prime used to be in The Heights (pre-COVID). We’ve done a couple of classes there the past couple of years, and Bluestone Lane’s Aussie-inspired cafe’ fare has been a big hit with those that attended. Bluestone Lane doesn’t charge us for the use of the room. 😉😉

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP – please arrive early (8:45am) to order breakfast/brunch and head upstairs. We’ll start promptly at 9am.

Feel free to bring your camera and flash, a notebook or laptop to take notes. I’ll provide a printed copy of the presentation I’ll be giving that you can use for notes.

Rain or shine, no refunds, no transfers.
