Buffalo Bayou Cistern
March 7 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Let’s go visit the Bayou Bend Park Cistern. Recently opened after 90 years and several art installations, this Houston Treasure is taking on a new life. On this special photography tour, you will be allowed to take your tripod and flash (although flash is not required since this will be long exposure). The group will be limited to 15 people and you will be led into the cavernous space. The tour is one hour long and we will spend 15 min on each side of the space (so as not to be in each other’s photos.) Tickets are $10 + $2 handling fee (their fee, not mine…) No Refunds.
Sign up for this one quickly as they only allow 15 people per tour (so no guests allowed)!
Note: I found out after I reserved this tour that the 48th Annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta is the same day. The regatta starts at 1/4 mile West of Voss and ends at Allen’s Landing (1001 Commerce) so the boats will come by Sabine Street where the Cistern is located. There is a possibility that we can shoot some of the boats as they come by.
