For those interested in attending the Photography in the Gardens of Bayou Bend event on March 14th at 10:30am, we can meetup for a breakfast at Black Walnut Cafe. It’s just a few blocks away from the Bayou Bend Gardens. Here’s a link to their menu and prices:

To prevent us from stepping on each other or getting in each other’s shots, this event is limited to 15 people. With such a small group limit, we will take roll call and handle no-shows based on the club rules. See FAQ for details.

I plan to attend rain-or-shine.

For those who have visited Bayou Bend Gardens in years past, you may remember their strong no-photography rules. For a limited amount of time during the day, on March 14th, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston will host Photography in the Gardens of Bayou Bend event! This is a great opportunity to photograph there (with some restrictions).

If you cannot attend on March 14th, they are having the event several other weekends too. Check their website for details:

Admission to the gardens is $7.50

From their website:

Photographers must agree not to publish or sell their photos for profit and must not disturb other guests. No lighting equipment, tripods, or monopods are permitted. Photography is limited to still images and does not include filming or video. “Photography in the Gardens” is intended for images of the garden spaces themselves and may not be used for engagement and bridal photography, or for commemorative photos of events not related to Bayou
